The truth should fear no investigation

rather than simply allowing members in the bargaining unit to know how their contract is being violated and what is being done about it, this administration would rather spend your hard earned dues fighting members that are trying to exercise their rights. It is clear they are doing so to hide their own ineptitude and malfeasance.

“The system-wide aspect of the grievance refers to the geographic coverage of the grievance.  Your position is not covered by the grievance.  It is the practice of the Union that grievance copies are only provided to individuals that are affected by the grievance.  As such, you are not entitled to a copy of the grievance.” - Commode

This is a blatant lie. The Collective Bargaining Agreement describes system-wide (class) grievances as general in nature, not geographic. In the cases Alanis has inquired into the entirety of 5.15 and 7.1 are being misinterpreted and misapplied by the company. This affects the entire bargaining unit. The Union is hiding the grievances because they don’t want Alanis to share the information with 1,600 union members and critique their work (since it is clear they were untimely).

This is a pathetic attempt at saying nothing and the fact that the company has ten days from the date of this email means they barely filed the grievance once someone came around demanding answers. The Collective Bargaining Agreement outlines such a timeline in the grievance procedures. Since the company got away with abusing 5.15 in early 2025 they decided to misinterpret and misapply 7.1 in mid 2025. These new interpretations and applications affect the entire bargaining unit. The Union is hiding the grievances because they don’t want Alanis to share the information with 1,600 union members and critique their work.

“We currently have filed a grievance with the company concerning the “involuntary transfers”. The process is at scheduling a second step hearing within the next ten days, we have entered into no agreements with the company concerning 5.15 or any other topic.” -Lucifero
